An autistic girl with intense fighting skills discovers a list of debtors in her horribly ill mother's diary and decides to go collecting, only to find herself up against an organized crime ring.
A tough, uncompromising, Thai Kung Fu flick, with a slushy plot, an unusual protagonist and badass fight scenes utilising real stunts to great effect, I found this to be an exciting and entertaining movie. It simply delivers the goods promised in the treaser trailers: well choreographed, bone crunching fight scenes.
Because this movie is not particularly well written it may requires some patience from the you to slug through the early moments. However once the 30-minute mark arrives, you will begin to be treated to one of the most amazing displays of asskicking by a female protagonist in the history of action cinema ??? and that goes on for the next hour! JeeJa Yanin (who performs her own stunts) is an amazing specimen with her fluid moves and hard strikes. Her punches and kicks start off rather basic, but get increasingly more complex until they peak during the jaw-dropping finale that lasts a whopping 20 minutes.
The martial arts choreography in this film is simply superb. There is lots of fun to be had here.
There were no wires or CGI used in this movie and the blooper reel at the end of the film reveals that some kicks actually did hurt some of the performers.
